The people who perform various types of music during the Memorial Ceremony for Confucius are called “musicians”. Since 2013, the musicians of Memorial Ceremony for Confucius in Taipei Confucius Temple are served by 8th grade students from Chongqing Junior High School. The students not only regularly practice in front of the Dacheng Hall every Tuesday during their term time, but also every day in their summer vacation. In addition to the standard strict practice routine, Mr. Sun encourages students to understand the instruments they play as well as the spiritual greatness of the ceremonial song.

The 2566 anniversary of the birth of Confucius will be commemorated at Taipei Confucius Temple on 28th September this year. During this celebration event, the musicians from Chongqing Junior High School, who will be wearing red silk robes with butterfly-shaped blue silk belt, white inner silk trousers, ceremonial caps, and black pair of shoes, will be playing music and leading the whole ceremony to proceed smoothly.
